Dear Albuquerque Community Members,
Join the fun this Saturday, August 22 for Albuquerque Youth Day. Festivities begin at Tingley Park, across the street from the Zoo at 12pm to 4 where the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and the City of Albuquerque are co-hosting an Urban Families Event complete with face painting, free children haircuts, health and wellness booths and other fun filled activities for families.
After you visit the Urban Families Event, come join the City of Albuquerque and Warehouse 508 at the Rio Grande Zoo. There will be live music, live art, a scavenger hunt, photo contest, prizes, giveaways, Explora activities and special guests from Jackson's MMA. Free entry with a paying parent for those who are under 12. All other students will get 1/2 price off admission with their school ID. There will also be a dollar menu hosted by the zoo for everyone to enjoy. Be sure to bring your digital cameras so you can enter the photo contest and win a prize.
Once the sun goes down stick around for the Starry Safari Movie to begin in the Zoo park. For more information, please call 311 or you can reach me at my office.
PLEASE PASS ON TO ANYONE YOU THINK MAY BE INTERESTED IN ATTENDING!!!
